In May, AFT-Wisconsin commissioned a poll of our membership to gauge their feelings about the upcoming elections, opinions about our union's political program and our members feelings on key legislative issues.  The results provide an insight into our members' sentiments as we approach the fall elections.

At their June 20 meeting, the AFT-Wisconsin executive board unanimously voted to endorse 15 candidates in State Assembly and State Senate races across Wisconsin.

The public's perception of government has grown increasingly cynical throughout the years. As a union of professional public employees, AFT-Wisconsin should help lead the way in  communicating effectively about government and its role in society.

On June 17, over thirty AFT-Wisconsin activists from around the state attended a training titled "Talking About Government," which was led by the Demos Center for the Public Sector.
